March 21st: HHA

Hello Everyone!

We are so happy and thankful to see a lot of you at the General Assembly. God has truly blessed us in our community.

So to continue showing our God that we love serving Him and know more about Him, we're having a HOUSEHOLD ASSEMBLY and here are the details:

What: Heaven Knows Household Assembly
When: Saturday, March 21st
Time: 1:00pm-4:30pm
Where: Holy Redeemer (Pickering)
Why? To teach YFC members about discernment and the value of seeking God’s advice in all that they do.

By the way, don't forget our charity event this SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 9:30am-3:30pm, North East Area's going to Good Shepherd!!
This is a LIMITED event. We need at least 15 people from Durham to attend this event.

This is good for people who need community service hours!

If you are interested in volunteering, please let your household heads know, or email us at yfcdurham@gmail.com to reserve you a spot.

If you're guaranteed a spot, the meeting place will be at STARBUCKS (Liverpool and Hwy. 2) at 8:45am. Rides will leave at 9am SHARP.

OCTOBER 25TH: HSB PEP RALLY

Let's support our brothers and sisters in High School Based!
There will be lots of Presentations, Activities, and a Praisefest!

OCTOBER 18th: Cluster 3 G.A. @ Good Shepherd

Hey guys!

Now it's the time to serve God outside of YFC!
We will be helping the Good Shepherd Ministries.
Good Shepherd is a Christian homeless and rehabilitation centre. We will be doing simple tasks like preparing food, making beds, sweeping floors, etc.

here are the details:

What: Cluster General Assembly: Outreach activity
Where: Good Shepherd Ministries
412 Queen Street East
Toronto ON M5A 1T3
When: Saturday, October 18th
Time: 9am to 3:30pm
Details:
* We need 25 to go in total as a Cluster. Which means, 8 people per chapter with 1 more from any.
* First come first served.
* Free food.
* Must send a list of confirmed attendance by Tuesday, October 14, 2008 (evening).

** Unfortunately, the Camp Eternity training will be held on the same day as the HSB pep rally. We encourage the all service team to attend the camp training. Instead, we'll show our support to HSB through our prayers.

OCTOBER 11TH: HOUSEHOLD HEAD TRAINING pt. 1

Blessings to all our household heads in Durham!

We will be having a MANDATORY household head training for you, especially if you're new to this commitment.
It's really important for you to attend this event. This is for you to understand what really is to be a household head or a unit head.

You better bring your A+ game because we're going to be playing a whole bunch of video games.

OCT. 11: LEADERS' TRAINING MANDATORY

This event is for our C3 leaders.
This is for them to understand, and know the true meaning of their service for God and for our brothers and sisters in YFC.

WHO: C3 CHAPTERS (durham/sne/markham) LEADERS
WHEN: Saturday, October 11th
WHERE: HOLY REDEEMER PARISH
TIME: 1PM to 4:30PM

We encourage all our leaders in attend this MANDATORY event.
This is a big help for you, especially the new leaders in YFC. This will make you understand and value your service for God.

We encourage you to come to this activity because YFC is not only about helping our brothers and sisters within the community, but also helping our brothers and sisters in the shelter. We can show our Lord Jesus Christ our love by helping our less fortunate brothers and sisters in Good Shepherds.
